“You may wish to know the origin of Christianity. The Roman Catholic Church orchestrated it. Constantine [A.D. 280-337] made Christianity a religion of power. Along with Constantine, the Christian philosophy initiated by Saint Augustine was influential in the development of Western Christianity. He was bishop of Hippo Regius, a city in Algeria and the Roman Province of Africa. From Christianity comes the word, Christian.

The original disciples did not have a formal name. Therefore, upon entering the Gentile City, the apostles were called Christians due to the greatness of their ministry. Roman officials occupied Antioch, Greece, gave them the name for registration.

Only twice is the word found in Scripture; Acts 11:26; 26:28 and once in 1 Peter 4:16. The disciples were less enthused with the name thus preferred “the Way” to express their connection to Yehoshua [Acts 9:2; 19:9; 24:14, 22].

The question is, are non-Catholics worshipping the Pope? Soon, the Christian Church will globally pile into churches to celebrate Easter. It is a day set aside to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The day usually begins with sunrise service, a feast that includes an Easter ham and hot cross buns.

“Besides, a week called holy week commencing with preaching, and 40 days of lent (Roman Catholics) consisting of prayer and fasting certain foods. Those who love to ask questions must be curious to know the origin of Easter. Together let us explore the historical truth.
